“Are you ready for Heaven?”
We are continuing to pray into the arrangements for our next CFO uk ‘retreat’ at The Ammerdown Centre in May 2026. We are delighted that Rachel Corbin, a long time CFO’er, has agreed to be our speaker and the topic she has chosen for our retreat sounds exciting and intriguing and we hope that you do too. Rachel is an excellent and informative speaker, with great experience having been very involved with leading and teaching at BSF(Bible Study Fellowship) for 15 years.
We all had a truly blessed time in May of 2024 as we came together to explore the theme “Deepening our Prayer Life” wonderfully led by two of our experienced ‘Ring’ members. All who were able to attend were truly blessed as we delved more into praying following Jesus’ example taking 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 [NIV] as our main inspiration:-
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”.
Our sharing in groups greatly encouraged us as we explored more of the challenges raised by the talks. We learnt and listened together for the Holy Spirit’s guidance to draw closer in our walk with God and many were greatly blessed by the prayer times.
We pray God’s peace and blessing on you all until we meet again in 2026.
OUR VENUE
The Ammerdown Centre is a Christian conference and retreat centre set in beautiful landscaped gardens. It has 40 ensuite bedrooms. We have booked the whole centre so we will be able to make good use of all its facilities.
OUR WEEKEND
The Ring members plan and run the weekend retreat, always meeting together in an atmosphere of prayer. You can come to Ammerdown knowing that you already have been prayed for so that, together, we can all more deeply experience living in the Kingdom of God. You can come knowing that you will be fully accepted as you are.
You are welcome to arrive after 4:00pm on the Friday, when your rooms will be ready. Dinner is at 6:30pm. Please let us know if you cannot be there by then, so that we can save some dinner for you. We end at 3:30pm on Sunday, with afternoon tea.
Please bring your Bible and notebook.
